Hotel Faros was built in 1986 by our father, Michalis. Our passion helping people meet the grandeur of Greece and greek culture was and still is what motivates our family. 2 clicks away from the center of Ios to avoid the noise but close enough if you want to seek it.

Excellent location. Few min walking from the port, where you can take many buses to different parts of the island. Very clean and tidy room (every day was cleaned). The balcony was the highlight of the room, very big and with amazing view to the see.

Spotlessly clean , bright , airy and spacious room, large balcony with great sea view . Good amount of sockets especially by the beds and plenty of lighting alternatives, also good wifi speed . I loved the location as I could easily walk to the port or the Chora and there is a bus stop right outside if needed. It is run by a very friendly family.

Ios has it all! Breathtaking view, beaches with golden sand, high quality restaurants and amazing bars!
In Ios you can explore and enjoy more than 30 beaches. Either you prefer something private or you feel more sociable, definitely you will discover it. You can start from Mylopotas Beach, one of the most famous beaches, and finish your day at Koumbara where you can enjoy the sunset.
Of course you cannot leave the island without visiting Manganari, Agia Theodoti and Psathi, three of the main beaches around the island which are going to steal your heart with their crystal clear waters, the golden sand and wild beauty.
Despite the fact that Ios is a small island has a lot to show to a traveller. The most important are the Homer's Tomb, Skarkos’ Hill- a prehistoric civilization, Paleokastro- a venetian castle and Elytis Theatre.
You can also visit the Archeological Museum or discover some of the 365 churches such as Panagia Gremiotissa and Agia Irini.
If there is something that the island knows well is how to make you party. There are options all day long and especially after midnight. In the picturesque alleys in Chora you can find places for every taste to have fun and dance until the next sunrise.
Of course, besides the night clubs, the past few years Ios is a place that can satisfies couples, families or anyone else who looks for more relaxing places without depriving fun and entertainment.
If you feel more active you have enough options to explore the island and fill your days creatively.
There are some organized boat trips where you can visit some more isolated beaches which are reachable only by boat, you can do watersports or you can go scuba diving and fishing.
